The Nottingham Cathedral is over 150 years old, and is a sight to behold. The ancient architectural design will take you back to the 19th century, and if you are a lover of organ music, you will absolutely enjoy listening to the cathedral’s pipe organ and interacting with other organ enthusiasts. The cathedral also hosts several concerts and other events that you can attend. If you are a religious person, you can spend some quiet time at the cathedral meditating and reflecting on your life. The cathedral is open every day of the week and entry is free. 

The Adrenalin Jungle

Just as the name suggests, this is a perfect place for adrenalin junkies. You can be sure that the whole family will have a splendid time here due to the numerous activities offered. Some of the activities offered include quad biking, jungle Olympics, treasure hunts, and archery among others. There are different levels suitable for adults and for children of different ages, and if you would like to participate as a family, you also have that option. If you are in Nottingham for a bachelor or bachelorette party, you will be pleased to know that the Adrenalin Jungle offers some weekend packages for these from time to time.

Wollaton Hall and Park

The Wollaton is a 16th century country house that has an Elizabethan theme. It is located a short drive away from the city, and is a perfect getaway from all the noise and activity on the streets of Nottingham. The house is beautifully designed and decorated, and the park surrounding it has a lot to offer including walking trails, and flowers and plants of various species. There are also deer at the park. The Wallaton Hall and Park hosts a number of events including the annual Splendor Festival. Nottingham Castle

This 17th century beauty is a must-visit because of the breathtaking views of the city you can enjoy from the castle. It stands on a 130-foot high cliff, and gives you an unimpeded view of the whole city. You will get to learn about the history of the castle, which was originally built in the 11th century and then refurbished by several other English kings afterwards. It serves as some sort of museum, with a great art collection that will take your breath away. There is a small entry fee charged.

City of Caves

This is a great place to learn about the history of the city. It is literally a city of caves, and you can tour the site with an actor as your guide or with an audio guide, whichever you prefer. The site also offers various packages for children’s birthday parties. You can be sure to have an amazing time here.

Nottingham Playhouse

Several events are held at this theatre which is located right in the heart of the city. Whether you are into drama, comedy, music or dance, you can be sure to find something that will excite you here. The design of this establishment is also beautiful, featuring a sky mirror and amazing décor. Since 1948 when it was opened, it has been a major tourist attraction in the city. Warhammer World

The Warhammer World Retail Stores, Events Hall, Exhibition Centre and Bugman’s bar are usually all open seven days a week, with the exception of Easter Sunday, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. You’re welcome to visit during events, but, for some rare events, the full venue is closed apart from ticket holders. See upcoming events here.
